After the Turumba Fiesta, before finally going back to Manila, I made a side trip going to Paete, Laguna. The place is known for its wood crafts. You will also see a lot of art galleries along the streerts.
Another amazing thing about this church is that some of the oldest paitings (circa 1700s) in the Philippines could actually be found in Paete Church. While I was checking the paintings, two paitings really caught my attention. These are the two giant paitings of San Cristobal. If you could still remember the horror movie Shake Rattle and Roll 6 (1997), these paitings were actually part of a scene in the Segment "Tulay" where Matet De Leon, Ara Mina, and Aiza Seguerra were discussing about the myth of San Cristobal.

- Going back to Manila, you can ride a jeep at Paete back to Sta. Cruz. Don't forget to tell the driver to drop you off at Jac Liner (the terminal). You can ride either HM Transport and alight at Cubao or Greenstar and alight at Buendia.
