Side Trip: Magsaysay Market and Aldevinco Shopping Center

Pls. like my Facebook page, Bak-paker's Adventures.

During the Kadayawan sa Dabaw, I made some side trips to two known places/establishments in Davao City.

Magsaysay Fruit Vendors Association – Are you a fan of the pungent-smelling durian or the sweet majarlika rambutan? Are you daring enough to eat the sweet-sour mangostene or peel the think-skinned pomelo? Or maybe you would just like to eat fresh fruits? The answer to all the abovementioned questions is the Magsaysay Fruit Market. Just beside the public park lies a stretch of fresh fruit stalls. Fruits are very fresh and cheap here compared to Manila.

Start living a healthy lifestyle. Eat a lot of fruits and buy them fresh at the Magsaysay Fruit Market!

Aldevinco Shopping Center – If you’re looking for authentic Mindanao souvenirs, you should visit Aldevinco Shopping Center. There are a lot of brass products, beadworks, antiques, and many many more!

Bring home some brass products made by the known T’boli Tribe of South Cotabato. Accessorize yourself with intricate red, yellow, black, and white beadwork (the traditional colors of the T’boli). Add some antique touches to your home, Aldevinco has a lot. And put a little twist to your fashion statement by grabbing one of the many choices of colorful shawls. These are just some of the many items you can bring home from Aldevinco.

Happy shopping!

Just across the Aldevinco Shopping Center is the Ateneo de Davao University.
