Nature Trip: Mayon Volcano (Legazpi City, Albay)

During the Feast of Peñafrancia, with the GMA 7 crew, I joined them in their trip to Legazpi City to see Mayon Volcano. I was lucky enough to be invited by Ms. Che Ingles, segment producer, to hitch with them instead of taking the bus.

Mt. Mayon is renowned as the “perfect cone” because of its almost symmetrically conical shape. It forms the northern boundary of Legazpi City. Left at the foot of the volcano is the Cagsawa Ruins. The latter was buried under lava during its eruption in 1814.

I was really amazed by the beauty of Mayon Volcano!
