Grand Marian Procession 2010

Celebrated every first Sunday of December is the Grand Marian Procession (GMP) in honor of Nuestra Señora dela Inmaculada Concepcion, Mater Purissima. This annual event is held at Intramuros, Manila and is organized by the Confradia de la Inmaculada Concepcion. Over a hundred Marian imagers from different places in the Philippines join the procession. The GMP will start with a 2PM mass at the Manila Cathedral. The procession will start at 4PM.


Marian devotees from different places in the Philippines converge at the Manila Cathedral to pay homage to the festijada, Nuestra Señora dela Inmaculada Concepcion, Mater Purissima and other images of the Holy Mother. Aside from the devotion is the appreciation of devotees to the art forms.

Coverage Tips:
- If you want to take good shots of the images, be at the event area before 4PM. Images are already mounted on their respective carrozas waiting for the start of the procession.
